This is where I will have the write up for my Composition.
At first my initial thoughts were to have my composition with an acoustic feel, with an acoustic guitar. Similar to artists like Boyce Avenue and Ed Sheeran. But as I practised and developed my composition I decided I would change the acoustic guitar to an electric guitar as I felt it made my song smoother and relaxing. When I had the acoustic guitar in my piece it was quite fast, but by changing the guitar I have also changed the tempo and made it slower.
I first started on my verse chord sequence and then my verse lyrics so I could get an initial feel of my song before I started on the rest of it. I started of playing my chords on a piano even though I knew I would be having a guitar so I could play and work it out myself. My chord sequence was in the key of G as, initially, I wanted it to be a faster song.
I then, once working out how my first verse went, I wrote the rest of my lyrics for the whole song. After doing that I worked out how my chorus would go. I was on a guitar at this point. I wanted to make my song as relatable as possible so I made the structure as a normal song would usually go. Verse 1, Pre Chorus, Chorus, Verse 2, Pre chorus, Chorus, Instrumental, Chorus.
